From my 20 years of experience as a photographer specializing in the food industry and beyond, I can wholeheartedly say that Veritable is a delightful bistro that perfectly suits the Athenian scene. What makes it truly special is the distinct vibe it offers, providing a peaceful escape from the usual bustling bistros. Here, you’ll find warmth, thoughtful design, a friendly staff, and, of course, charming French cuisine that not only dazzles with vibrant colors but also brings the cozy comfort of home-cooked meals—all beautifully crafted by the chef.

The moment I laid eyes on the bistro’s façade, I was hooked. The glass walls surrounded by lush plants, the soft lighting, a lovely cheese corner, generous tables, and a grand staircase leading upstairs created such an inviting atmosphere. And let’s not forget the open kitchen, which added to the charm!

When I met Chef Alain Parodi and the wonderful team—waitstaff and assistants alike—I immediately felt at home. We were sharing jokes within the first fifteen minutes, which set the perfect tone for the day.

Then, we jumped into the photoshoot, showcasing a selection of Chef Parodi's scrumptious dishes, along with some portraits of him for various publications, both in print and online.

Chef Parodi is a bundle of surprises! His versatility shines through in every angle, revealing a vibrant energy. His menu is a feast for the eyes, packed with luscious colors and grand flavors.

I’ve always been captivated by classic French cuisine, especially in a bistro that wraps you in a warm embrace, much like their lovely baguette with a generous pat of butter or their dreamy bouillabaisse which evokes memories of Baroque-era Lilliputian feasts during joyous soirees.

This whole experience inspired me to create dynamic shots with rich Rembrandt-style lighting, combined with black-and-white portraits of the chef, allowing me to tell unique stories through my photography.

As we wrapped up the photoshoot, what I cherished most was the wonderful connection we had formed—the energetic exchange, the laughter, and the warmth that made the experience so special. It truly became more than just a photoshoot; it was a joyful celebration of food and friendship!
